Where is Sandy Island?

In yesterdays’ news a funny story appeared which I have to share here. Apparently an island which is on many of the world’s maps, Sandy Island, does not exist. Scientists have done the trip and actually went there by boat – only to find nothing but deep sea, but no trace of an island!

As a follower of ABC’s “Lost” TV show, I am starting to smile. Imagination at work. Funny thought, maybe the island has moved? What do you think? 🙂
