Vienna is one of Europe’s food melting pots. My eatlist of Vienna is probably the most extensive eatlist I have on this blog – because Austria is my home country and Vienna is our capital. Plan enough time to eat in this magnificent food city, and stay away from fast food restaurants! I regularly update this restaurant recommendations list of Vienna.

Amador

Edvard – High-end creative cuisine in a beautiful hotel.

Konstantin Filippou – Mediterranean Cuisine at its very highest level.

Opus – A classic venue in Austria’s most beautiful hotel. Historic ambiance, top class food.

Steirereck – Austria’s best restaurant, period. If you could choose only one restaurant in Vienna, come here.

Tian – High-end vegetarian restaurant. Unbelievable what they are able do with vegetables.

 

UPPER MID-RANGE

Das Loft – High-Altitude dining (and bar) high above Vienna in the stylish Sofitel So Hotel. Amazing views and interior design.

Das Schick – Romantic dining venue in the boutique hotel with the same name.

Das Spittelberg – New designer-created venue in the heart of Vienna’s eating district

Mraz & Son – High-End Viennese restaurant, very creative Austrian cuisine

O Boufés – The bistro version of Konstantin Filippou

Pramerl and the Wolf – Young chefs create very inventive kitchen in this fun place. You need to see this.

Seven North – Tapas and small plates

Spoon – Creative venue without a menu. Dinner is served as a surprise!

The Bank Brasserie – Amazing atmosphere in the historical former counter hall of Austria’s largest bank. Great food & ambiance.

Zum Schwarzen Kameel – High society eatery with traditional fare as well as good sandwiches. A viennese classic.

Nguyen’s – A new and creative Vietnamese restaurant a bit off the beaten path. Very high quality.

One of One – Actually three restaurants in one, Chef Martin Ho serves creative Chinese-inspired kitchen on a very high experiential level. Must try!

Ra’mien Restaurant – Pan Asian restaurant with focus on noodle soups

Regina Margherita – A fantastic Italian Restaurant serving both pizza and pasta on a high level.

Takan’s Fischrestaurant – Mediterranean fish restaurant.
